Summary | 0014216: Clipping of fields on a P2 (quadratic) mesh does not show subdomain halos.
Description | I have attached a .tar.bz2 file, which contains the necessary .pvtu and .vtu files to reproduce this bug. Simply load the data and perform the clipping operation. You will see a void, which corresponds to the subdomain halos. Other filters, for example, the slice, do not show this issue. I have reproduced this issue with both paraview and mayavi2, which seems to imply that it is a VTK problem. Note that when I output on the P1 (i.e. linear) finite element mesh, this issue is not observed. It seems limited to output on the P2 (quadratic) mesh.

Setting to status of bugs that have not been updated in the last year to expired. Please re-open if still important. |

I find it strange that this bug report was closed, after (apparently) not being looked into by a member of the development team. It was reported over 2 years ago and there has been no response. The bug remains in Paraview 5.0. Have you been able to reproduce it? |
