Summary0005740: Exodus reader needs a convention for indicating global IDs
DescriptionNodes, elements, faces, and edges may all have multiple maps associated with them in the new Exodus file format. To my knowledge, there is not currently any way to know which map represents a global ordering across multiple files. Each map may be assigned a name, but I am unaware of a convention for specifying the purpose of a map in its name.
Additional InformationThis functionality is in the current release Exodus library but is not documented in the latest (3/21/2006) manual. It is unclear how the Nemesis library interacts with this new feature.
