<font face="arial" size=2> My name is Jerry
Pulley. I am taking a visualization course this summer. I
have purchased the VTK users Guide with CD from online, and have
encountered some issues that I don't fully understand. I have
MCVC++ 6.0 installed, and I don't quite understand the book procedure on
install. Under the windows section, after the Binary install of all
five parts, there is a Source Code Install. Is this install
necessary?</font><br><br>

You most likely won't have to install the source version of VTK for your
course. You'll only need the source if you want to modify VTK
itself. Stick with the binary until you need to build it yourself
for some reason.<br><br>
