I don't think that there is a module in VTK to capture only a particular portion of scene. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong)<BR>

The easiest way to do this is to use any screen-casting software which will capture any event occurring in a particular portion of you monitor. There are many such softwares in linux like recordmydesktop and Istanbul. I use CamStudio in Windows.<BR>
