I am hoping to address this soon for ParaView in the near future and I am sure much of that will spill into VTK in one form or another. However, I don’t have any firm plans on how this will happen and I for one welcome any ideas on the matter.
are there any plans to extend support for parallel computing within the
VTK? In the domain of the image filters it already seems to be quite
present but I'm missing support for some of the polygonal filters like
Marching Cubes. In the era of multicore CPUs this really would be a
large improvement in the toolkit.
