I upgraded to the official nvidia 190.42 driver and all is well.

I was using kmod-nvidia-2.6.29.5-191.fc11.i686.PAE.i686
0:185.18.14-1.fc11 just for the record.
Is there anyway this kind of thing can be caught and and an error

thrown? I don't know anything about this level of code.
If you look through the note you posted in response to Francois' request, you will note that the last line says: "Test timeout computed to be: 1500". That is the time in seconds the test is allowed to run before it is killed and an error declared. If 1500 seconds is too long, you can change the value in your CMakeCache.txt file to set it lower.

Thanks for the guidance.
Thanks,
