<span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-family: arial, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; border-collapse: collapse; ">Hi all,<div><br></div><div>I have a question for VTK file format version number.... I know the first line of every .vtk file starts with # vtk DataFile Version X.X but quite not sure what imposes this version number. All files I have seen were 1.0 or 2.0 for that. Is there any (detailed)documentation or explanation for these? Such as 1.0 support POLYDATA and UNSTRUCTURED_GRID and others been added in 2.0 and so on.. Also I have another question, what is the most recent version for .vtk file format? Because the newer version(I think) is xml-like file format but I couldn&#39;t see the version information within the file. Also I noticed that the file extension is changed from .vtk from .vts, .vtu, .vtp, .vtr and so on. What is the correspondence between .vtk and those three? Are they just separated for handling those PolyData, Structured_Grid and other primitives differently?</div>
