| Description | I get
Generic Warning: In /home/bottoms/stage/vtk-4.2.6/IO/vtkDataReader.cxx, line 833Error reading ascii data!
using the Debian version 4.2.6-2 of VTK under the following circumstances:
1. a file has a scalar point lookup table of type float
2. some of the data in the file is written with more than float precision (for example, the number 1e-100 occurs)
The file reads just fine if I change the data type to "double".
