Summary0011299: fine control over chart axis
DescriptionUsers, both of the GUI and python, should be able to manually control chart axis and tick placements. The automatic placement is great for initial understanding but for publication users want to do things like show more or fewer tick marks than the automatic mode decides upon and also to place tick marks at particular data values.

I think this is now resolved - the user can specify whatever tick marks they wish, and create ranges of tick marks, in the axis controls. Please let me know if this satisfies your requirements.

Chart axis looks correct to me.
