| Summary | 0011323: It would be nice if number of cores used by the Multi-Core feature can be specified | ||||
| Description | Recent addition of the Use Multi-Core option is very nice, however as some MPI implementations cause MPI processes to reach 100% CPU usage, I would like to keep several cores of my PC vacant to do other tasks. Moreover, the number of processes tends to be overwhelming for processors with hyper-threading support (ParaView tries to launch 16 pvservers for my dual quad-core PC). It would be nice if one can explicitly specify the number of cores used by ParaView. | ||||
