Summary0011879: Sources/Text doesn't work correctly in 2d XY windows.
DescriptionWindows, trunk, local server.
Open disk_out_ref.exo. plot over line filter.
Now, try to add a sources/ text. It will try to put the text in the legend as additional data, where what I want is to put the text on the viewport.

You're supposed to use Edit | View Settings for adding labels to 2D views since 2D views support axis labels, title-labels separately.

I think there are two answers to your statement.
* We are trying to work around a bug that is causing us problems. We need to either move the location of the chart legend, or turn it off and, using text, create another one.
* If a user wants a title, and also wants some text somewhere else on the XY plot, it is problematic. For instance (and this is just me dreaming up use cases) if some organization required all XY plots to be labeled as "Do Not Copy" on the top and bottom of the XY plot, we could not do it.
