Do you mean ghost cells in one block that really belongs to another block? That sounds difficult in many cases and highly dependent on the data. Are we simply talking about a new field array to specify block ghost level and pipeline keys to request them? What sources will support them? Should the requests be different than ghost cells for parallel distribution?
