Summary0007444: vtkHdf5 library crashes with chunked datasets
Descriptionopening a chunked dataset (through a plugin) using PV3 CVS crashes the application with a traceback leading to vtkHdf5 lib. Just compiling PV with a system hdf5 (here 1.6.7) solves the problem, so obviously the version 1.6.5 included in the PV CVS tree has a problem with PV.

How different are 1.6.5 and 1.6.7? Would it be hard to update VTK's version? For example, does VTK use plain 1.6.5 or is VTK's version heavily modified from 1.6.5?

ParaView now includes hdf5-1.8.5. Please report a bug under the ParaView project if you're still experiencing any issues.
