Summary0007735: Problem Qt-4.4.2 applications exiting with status 5 when linking to vtk-5.3 dynamic libraries on Mac OS 10.5.5 and Xcode-3.1.1
Descriptioni,
       I've just run into a problem where a simple Qt-4.4.2 application exits with status 5 if I include a vtk dynamic link library.

To reproduce this problem, create a simple Qt application, run and test it. After that, simply add vtkCommon.dylib to the list of External Frameworks and Libraries using Xcode-3.1.1.

The application will compile fine and even though you do not use any of the vtk libraries in the application, simply linking it to the Qt-application will cause it to crash.

What could the reason be?

I have compiled vtk-5.3 with carbon bindings.
