0007766: Cannot volume render multiblock exodus dataset
The volume render options make me select a single DataSet at a time to volume render. I am unable to select more than one.
This is probably a problem for 3.6, as well, but I have not tried it because of the issue with the inverse relationship between number of processors and speed of rendering.

You can already volume render multiblock data sets by running the Merge Blocks filter, which will merge everything into a single unstructured grid. We could do that implicitly. In serial, there is no real advantage. In parallel, we have to do a repartitioning anyway. If the merging happened during the repartitioning, then we could save yet another copy of the data.

Marking resolved as per Alan's suggestion :). Feel free to reopen if "automation" as Ken suggested is required.

Use Merge Blocks filter if needed.
