0009407: Need to multi-sample when depth peeling is off.
When Edit/ Settings/ General/ Enable Depth Peeling is unselected, please make ParaView multi-sample. This is to work around issues with some graphics cards that stop antialiasing. (I believe that the call that needs to be called is SetMultiSamples() with some unknown input other than 0).

Do we really NEED this? Multisampling messes up all sorts of features in ParaView: depth peeling, parallel rendering, and picking for selection come to mind right now. In particular, the picking feature is most problematic as it could be needed at pretty much any time during the interaction. Furthermore, I don't think it is possible to easily flip multisampling on and off; you have to create a whole new OpenGL context each time.

In short, turning multisampling could break unpredictable things in a way that makes it hard to trace back to the cause. Quite frankly, I'm sick of trying. Do we really have to do it?

Check Ken's response. Please reopen of you still need this.

Sounds fair to me. Closed.
