Requirements:

* Download and install [http://www.paraview.org/download/ParaView] 5.2.0 on your machine
* Download and install [http://www.paraview.org/download/ParaView ParaView 5.2.0] on your Windows, Mac or Linux, machine
* Download and install the [http://www.sdvis.org/ospray/download/demos/FIUGroundWater/fiu-groundwater.tar.bz2 FIU] and Meningioma datasets
* Download and install the sample data:
** low res ground water [http://www.sdvis.org/ospray/download/demos/FIUGroundWater/fiu-groundwater.tar.bz2 FIU]
** high res ground water [https://utexas.box.com/v/HPCDev16-FIU-data high res FIU] (the same data can be found on TACC at /work/00401/pnav/data/fiu_nhdr)

This tutorial, presented at Intel HPC Dev Con in 2015 and 2016, will make you familiar with ray tracing in general and how to use it via ParaView's OSPRay interface.

Requirements:

  • Download and install ParaView 5.2.0 on your Windows, Mac or Linux, machine
  • Download and install the sample data:
    • low res ground water FIU
    • high res ground water high res FIU (the same data can be found on TACC at /work/00401/pnav/data/fiu_nhdr)
    • Meningioma MRI scan 1
    • Meningioma MRI scan 2.

Stampede-KNL Access

As part of attending the tutorial, you can get an account at TACC to try analyzing your data on Stampede-KNL, TACC’s 508 node KNL cluster.

Please create an account at the TACC User Portal and email your user id to TACC admins to be added to the tutorial allocation.
