[vtk-developers] Problem building vtk 5.6 with Qt 4.6.3 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 5.5

I read this which explains the problem relative to centos Linux.

But I'm running into it on RHEL 5.5 as well.  Suggestions? In my
particular environment, updating a library affects many machines, and
involves requesting help from busy system administrators.
