[vtk-developers] git help: 'git gerrit-push' fails with 'fatal: ref HEAD is not a symbolic ref'

Hi all,

I need git help. :(

Weeks ago, I submitted this for review:

A reviewer wanted me to make additional changes, and I didn't know how to do that with the git workflow, so it sat on the back burner until this week.  After lots of reading, I thought I had everything figured out.  I rebased, made more changes, committed, did 'git prepush', and all seemed well.

Then I did:

sean$ git gerrit-push
fatal: ref HEAD is not a symbolic ref
fatal: remote part of refspec is not a valid name in HEAD:refs/for/master/

Now I'm stuck.... :(

(I may have made mistakes in the process. For one, I was following ITK wiki instructions, as, last I looked, the VTK wiki did not discuss gerrit, though checking now, I see it does, and I see the instructions are somewhat different.)
