With ITK, yes.

I hope VTK will soon have the nice git macros/shortcuts that ITK has,
like 'git gerrit-push', etc.  No doubt it's possible to use without, but...

That looks appropriate, though the implementation is different, but
probably not in an important way.  I'll try that too...
