[vtk-developers] Status of AddActor(), AddActor2D(), AddVolume() vs AddViewProp()

Hi all,

What is the status of the AddActor(), AddActor2D(), and AddVolume() APIs vs AddViewProp()?

That is:
 - are the former 3 considered deprecated?
 - is AddViewProp() preferable in new code?

I thought they were leftover from VTK 4, and started to slowly purge them:

Is such a thing desirable/correct?
