What sample program is this? If it is a c++ program, run it thru gdb
and do a backtrace. If it is a Tcl program run
$ gdb <path_to_vtk>/vtk
gdb> run tcl_script.tcl
in case its a Python script
$ gdb <path_to_python>/python
gdb> run python_script.py
Hopefully you will get some information if you do this.
