[vtkusers] Merging of meshes

Hi all,

I wanted to implement routine which takes a part of mesh. let's say submesh and then process this submesh. After processing I need to merge it back to original mesh. 

One can see this as selective processing.

Does anybody have idea how to do this using VTK. Note that I know how we can extract portion from mesh. But do not know how to merge the processed data back to mesh.

Hope I am making myself clear.
