[vtkusers] How to export a volume that can be used in ansys?

Hi;
   I have many piece of CT with a head.Now, I get the surface of the head ,I want to do more work in ansys. But ansys only can  import limited format.What file format can I get from vtk? Does vtkSTLWriter can do this ?
