DescriptionKitware says ParaView have readers for well-known FEM solvers like ANSYS:

But the ANSYS Reader can read legacy .inp files only, so it's not usable.

Almost all ParaView users think ANSYS data is not available.
We need a new ANSYS Reader supporting modern Workbench style formats.

 Agree.

Reading .rst files would be fine.

But ParaView cannot even read a .inp file created by Ansys Workbench 14.0 (Structural Statics), see attached file test.inp.

My config: ParaView 4.1.0, Windows 7, 64 bit.

The error is:
