Dan earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Politehnica University, Bucharest and his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire. Mr. Lipsa has an uncommon mix of industry and academic experience. He was an Assistant Professor at Armstrong University and a Research Assistant at Swansea University, where he is currently finishing his Ph.D. in Computer Science. Dan brings a variety of industry knowledge, including roles as Senior Software Developer and Technical Lead in data visualization, database driven applications (web‑based and stand‑alone software), internationalization, communication and network protocols, and compilers. He developed FoamVis, a visualization tool for foam simulation data used by research groups in UK and Germany.
