Detailed Description

layout graph edges on a globe as arcs.

Layout graph edges on a globe as arcs.

vtkGeoArcs produces arcs for each line in the input polydata. This is useful for viewing lines on a sphere (e.g. the earth). The arcs may "jump" above the sphere's surface using ExplodeFactor.

Member Function Documentation

static vtkGeoArcs* vtkGeoArcs::New ( ) [static]

Create an object with Debug turned off, modified time initialized to zero, and reference counting on.

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.

static int vtkGeoArcs::IsTypeOf ( const char *  name) [static]

Return 1 if this class type is the same type of (or a subclass of) the named class. Returns 0 otherwise. This method works in combination with vtkTypeMacro found in vtkSetGet.h.

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.

virtual int vtkGeoArcs::IsA ( const char *  name) [virtual]

Return 1 if this class is the same type of (or a subclass of) the named class. Returns 0 otherwise. This method works in combination with vtkTypeMacro found in vtkSetGet.h.

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.

virtual vtkObjectBase* vtkGeoArcs::NewInstanceInternal ( ) const [protected, virtual]

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.

void vtkGeoArcs::PrintSelf ( ostream &  os,
vtkIndent  indent
) [virtual]

Methods invoked by print to print information about the object including superclasses. Typically not called by the user (use Print() instead) but used in the hierarchical print process to combine the output of several classes.

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.

virtual void vtkGeoArcs::SetGlobeRadius ( double  ) [virtual]

The base radius used to determine the earth's surface. Default is the earth's radius in meters.

virtual double vtkGeoArcs::GetGlobeRadius ( ) [virtual]

The base radius used to determine the earth's surface. Default is the earth's radius in meters.

virtual void vtkGeoArcs::SetExplodeFactor ( double  ) [virtual]

Factor on which to "explode" the arcs away from the surface. A value of 0.0 keeps the values on the surface. Values larger than 0.0 push the arcs away from the surface by a distance proportional to the distance between the points. The default is 0.2.

virtual double vtkGeoArcs::GetExplodeFactor ( ) [virtual]

Factor on which to "explode" the arcs away from the surface. A value of 0.0 keeps the values on the surface. Values larger than 0.0 push the arcs away from the surface by a distance proportional to the distance between the points. The default is 0.2.

virtual void vtkGeoArcs::SetNumberOfSubdivisions ( int  ) [virtual]

The number of subdivisions in the arc. The default is 20.

The number of subdivisions in the arc. The default is 20.

int vtkGeoArcs::RequestData ( vtkInformation request,
vtkInformationVector **  inputVector,
vtkInformationVector outputVector
) [protected, virtual]

This is called by the superclass. This is the method you should override.

Reimplemented from vtkPolyDataAlgorithm.
